2017 City of Sydney Peace Prize Lecture & Award Ceremony

 The Black Lives Matter Global Network has won the 2017 Sydney Peace Prize for courageously reigniting a global conversation about racism and state violence, inspiring a bold and powerful movement.

 

On 2 November, Founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi will deliver the much-anticipated 2017 City of Sydney Peace Prize Lecture.

 

The evening will also feature music from the legendary singer/songwriter Archie Roach, and contributions from Professor Larissa Behrendt, Maxine Beneba Clarke, and Lord Mayor Clover Moore.

 

Every year, the Sydney Peace Prize brings the Sydney community together to talk about peace, justice and nonviolence, and to honour some of the world’s most inspiring peacemakers.

Tickets will sell out: Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to hear the Black Lives Matter Founders speak, and witness the awarding of the the 2017 City of Sydney Peace Prize at Sydney Town Hall!
