2011 Peace Day at Cabramatta High

On Friday 4th November Cabramatta High hosted the annual Peace Day as the last piece of hospitality for Prof Noam Chomsky, the 2011 Sydney Peace Prize Recipient. Welcomed to the school by an honour guard dressed in colourful national dress, other highlights included a recital of slam poems penned by the students on the theme of peace, a tour of the Peace Garden, a drumming and dance spectacular and the release of Peace Doves.

The Sydney Peace Foundation warmly thanks Cabramatta High and all the schools who participated in the day for their moving and inspiring tribute to Prof Noam Chomsky. These students are sure to be the leaders and peace makers of their generation and with that, the hope for our world to live in peace and share a common humanity burns strong.
