Support the Sydney Peace Foundation

The Sydney Peace Foundation, founded in 1998, promotes peace, justice and nonviolence by recognising the world’s most important leaders and movements for peace with the Sydney Peace Prize, Australia’s only international prize for peace.

This year, the Sydney Peace Prize is awarded to Jennifer Robinson, international human rights lawyer and barrister. Your donation will support her pro bono legal work defending human rights, press freedom, and gender and climate justice.

In June 2025, the Sydney Peace Foundation became an independent legal entity after 27 years as a foundation of the University of Sydney.

As a new entity, we are excited to announce that we now have a new fundraising platform. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to help us serve our mission for peace, justice and integrity.

If you would prefer to donate directly to our bank, please email .

Working together for Peace with Justice

The World is at a precipice, peace and international law are under attack like never before.

By donating to the Sydney Peace Foundation you will directly support the promotion of peace with justice, help fund the annual Sydney Peace Prize, as well as advance human rights through education and advocacy. Donations help highlight global, non-violent solutions to conflict, inequality, and climate change.
Your donation can help:

  • Support Global Peacemakers: Your donation supports the Sydney Peace Prize, which elevates the voices of extraordinary leaders, such as Navi Pillay or past recipients fighting for human rights, equality, and against violence.
  • Fund Education and Youth Programs: Donations support school outreach programs, including events where students meet peace prize laureates to build the next generation of peacemakers.
  • Promote Social Justice: Highlighting crucial issues, such as including Indigenous Rights, climate justice, and nuclear disarmament.

Award the Annual Sydney Peace Prize, Australia’s only international prize for peace. The Prize elevates leading global voices that promote peace, justice and nonviolence, and honours the inspiring people at the heart of these stories. For over two decades, Sydney Peace Prize recipients have shown us how to share our planet peacefully, justly and sustainably.

Present the Gold Medal for Human Rights to recognise achievements in the promotion of peace with justice. The Gold Medal for Human Rights is a formal recognition and prestigious acknowledgement of an individual’s tireless commitment to human rights.
