Over 25 years. Here’s what we do…

The Sydney Peace Foundation showcases solutions that prove that peace with justice is possible, and inspires and empowers people from all walks of life to create that reality in their lives and communities.

In our 25th year, Sydney Peace Foundation founder Emeritus Professor Stuart Rees has penned this poem:

all need to carry and to know
a vision for a life-time high
from pole to pole, from land to sky
prescriptions for a world to run
a marathon in sight and mind
so, no-one ever falls behind
in contest for humanity
where human rights in poems rhyme
and music sounds a long-lost chord,
for peace with justice, now’s the time.

WHY
PEACE IS POSSIBLE

Many of our leaders are failing us. In the face of global problems such as climate change, inequality and racism, they act from fear not hope or vision. Although they often go unheard, extraordinary people around the world have powerful solutions. Together, we can create a peaceful, fair, just and compassionate world that cares for people and planet.
