Sydney Peace Prize Award Ceremony & Gala Dinner
The premier annual event of the Sydney Peace Foundation, this Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner attracts an audience of over 250 of Sydney’s top corporate, government, NGO and university leaders.
This year’s Sydney Peace Prize recipient is humanitarian doctor and founder of the Mae Tao Clinic, Dr Cynthia Maung. She received her award on 7 November 2013.
The Sydney Peace Prize Jury’s citation reads: “Dr Maung: for her dedication to multi-ethnic democracy, human rights and the dignity of the poor and dispossessed, and for establishing health services for victims of conflict.”
