What We Do

The Sydney Peace Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which promotes peace with justice and awards the Sydney Peace Prize, Australia’s only international prize for peace.

Founded in 1998, the Sydney Peace Foundation is dedicated to universal human rights, social and climate justice, and non-violent solutions to conflict. Our mission is to advance peace with justice by addressing structural injustice and inequality.  We highlight movements, leaders, ideas and actions that encourage a more compassionate, peaceful and equitable world.

Peace With Justice

Many of our leaders and systems are failing us. In the face of global problems such as climate change, inequality and racism, they act from fear, not hope or vision. Although they often go unheard, extraordinary people around the world have powerful solutions. Together, we can create a peaceful, just and compassionate world that cares for people and planet.
