This Symposium provides an opportunity for artists and poets to use avant-garde arts and poetry to explore critical feminist perspectives on social justice and human rights. The panel asks leaders in law, the media, the arts and community activism to discuss ways to resist opposition to radical changes in the promotion of universal human rights and social equality.
Created and directed by Award Winning Human Rights Activist, Poet and Filmmaker Saba Vasefi. The event will be hosted by the Greens MP and a finalist in the Daily Life Woman of the Year Award Dr. Mehreen Faruqi, launched by CEO of the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence Kirstie Parker and emcee’d by SBS Radio Executive Producer Roza Germian from the Kurdish language program.
The panel discussion will be chaired by Walkley Award Winning Journalist and The Guardian’s Immigration Correspondent Ben Doherty.
